I graduated with a B.A degree in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and completed my M.S degree in Counseling Psychology from Mount Saint Mary's College. I am a current member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
I have been working in the counseling field since 2010 and have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2015. During that time, I have been able to work with foster youth to youth needing guidance in elementary and high schools. I have experience working in a variety of areas such as trauma, oppositional behaviors, anxiety, and depression. I am certified in using evidence based practices (such as PEI MAP, PEI trauma, and PEI Seeking Safety) that help guide the interventions that I use with my clients. I am currently a therapist in training for EMDR therapy. If you wish to learn more about EMDR therapy, please visit the tab located towards the top of the webpage.
I currently work with adults and children and can understand the overwhelming feelings that prevent them from reaching their full potential.
The following are some of my areas of expertise: Helping people overcome depression and low self-esteem, helping others learn to deal with anxiety and stress, and finding better ways to manage anger, resentment, and conflict. In addition, I work with others to effectively handle relationship and extended family issues and help guide my clients towards creating a life filled with more purpose and meaning. This is just a short list so if you have any questions as to whether or not I can help you or whether I can assist you with a referral to a specialist in that area, please reach out to me.

Through life experiences and personal growth, I discovered my passion towards helping others. Eager to employ my skills in the service of others, I decided to pursue a career in therapy. Since 2006, I have remained committed to developing, learning, and supporting the members of my community in a diversity of ways.
I graduated from East Los Angeles Community College with an A.A. degree; California State University, Los Angeles in 2015 with a B.A. in Psychology; and Cal State LA in 2019 with an M.S. in Counseling. Along the way, I was fortunate enough to encounter and work alongside a multitude of students, professors, families, and youth of differing age groups and cultural backgrounds.
In 2016, I began working with clients by facilitating conjoint family therapy at CSULA’s clinic while operating from a family systems theoretical framework. Since then, I have experience conducting individual and family therapy with K-12 age youth and adults for issues with anxiety, depression, conflict resolution, communication, boundary setting, and oppositional behaviors. My training includes specialization in topics such as child maltreatment, crisis counseling, risk assessment, safety planning, and certification in the evidence-based practice MAP.
I believe very strongly in everyone’s potential and capacity to lead healthy and happy lives of their choosing. My goal is to assist clients in exploration, reflection, and effective decision-making regarding their strengths and challenges. Interpersonal conflicts, attachment styles, depression, anxiety can make life feel overwhelming. I hope to encourage client’s empowerment by providing psychoeducation and interventions that will assist them in navigating everyday life and their relationships with others. When appropriate and beneficial to the client, I advocate for family therapy to better support all members concurrently.
I look forward to meeting with new individuals and families. If interested in receiving services, I am happy to collaborate and discuss the potential for working together.
Julian has been employed with C&S since July 2019.
Hello, I’m Mandy Sanchez, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I have always felt a deep passion for supporting others, and I believe that everyone is deserving of compassionate mental health care. I bring curiosity, warmth, and cultural humility into my work, with a commitment to understanding each client in the context of their own story and network of relationships.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2016. Following graduation, I worked in higher education while pursuing my long-term goal of becoming a therapist. In 2024, I completed my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern California. During my clinical training, I served as an Intern Therapist at The Village Family Services, a Department of Mental Health agency devoted to supporting underserved communities and foster youth. This experience deepened my passion for serving diverse populations and helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges.
In my work, I primarily draw from a Person-Centered Therapeutic Approach, creating a safe and collaborative environment where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. I have received formal training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which allows me to integrate evidence-based strategies into sessions. I have experience working with clients facing anxiety, depression, grief, relational stress, suicidality, and trauma, and I adjust my approach to meet each client’s specific needs and level of care.
I view my clients as the experts of their own lives, bringing unique strengths and lived experiences to the therapeutic space. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion and offer practical tools to help you move toward healing, growth, and meaningful change. I look forward to connecting with new clients and supporting you on your journey toward greater well-being.
